At this year’s AGM, it was agreed that an annual club fee would be introduced as of September 2010. The fee was set at £35 per swimmer, which will include annual ASA fees, club membership and insurance cover.

Introduction of the fee will overcome the many problems experienced in collecting ASA fees separately later in the season and recurrent issues with category of ASA membership – as of 2010/11, all swimmers will automatically be registered as ASA Category 2. (Category 2 covers all levels of competitive swimming and this year's Category 2 ASA fee was £25.50.) The remaining monies from the annual club fee will be used for club administration costs (e.g. printing) plus ASA fees and training costs for coaches and volunteers.
