General Age Guidance: 14+ yrs

Pool: 8x swim sessions

Land: 1x land session

12 hours of training a week

 

Swimmers advance to TOP when they have obtained the required speed and endurance. These are assessed in JAG and measured through the Test Sets conducted throughout the season.

It is within TOP that swimmers will start to experience a decrease of technique focus and an increase of swimming sessions dedicated to swimming fast whilst still maintaining a ‘building of the engine.’

Swimmers will also be introduced to sets designed for lactate production and lactate tolerance.

TOP swimmers can start to explore their potential at Regional and National level and will be supported through the journey, with no pressure on the swimmers to do so.

Swimmers are encouraged to always turn up with a good attitude, an open mind, respect to coaches/teammates, and, to HAVE FUN!
